FACULTY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES

 

Our Faculty, built by the Istanbul Kilis Foundation and having an area of 6200 m2, was admitted to Gaziantep University in the 2003-2004 academic year in 8 departments, respectively Turkish Language and Literature, History, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Sociology and Western Languages and Literatures. With the establishment of Kilis 7 Aralik University on 29 May 2007, our Faculty became one of the academic institutions affiliated as Kilis 7 Aralik University.

Philosophy, Psychology, Oriental Languages and Literatures, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Sociology departments were also opened in the 2009-2010 academic year, Biology department was closed.

As of the 2020-2021 academic year, in our Faculty, which has 11 departments, 8 undergraduate students; Physics, Chemistry, Turkish Language and Literature, History Master Students; In the meantime, there are academic activities actively with the PhD students of the History department. Students will be admitted to the Psychology department as of 2021-2022, and there is no student admission to the Western Languages department for the time being.

There are only 4th grade students in the evening classes of the History and Turkish Language and Literature departments, and students are no longer admitted to the evening classes.

The first graduates of Our Faculty, who received their academic degrees in the 2007-2008 academic year and it was the 15th time that we have graduates in the last academic year.
