Dear Students,

The main purpose and function of universities is to conduct research studies and provide education all over the world. The development and knowledge levels of countries depend on having competent and qualified universities, because universities are the places where knowledge is produced and shared. Faculty of Arts and Sciences within the body of KIYU conducts its research activities with this basic understanding. In our faculty, our students receive comprehensive and sufficient undergraduate degrees in social and natural sciences. Our primary goal is to raise individuals who are dynamic, visionary, productive, open to new ideas, free-thinking, self-confident and debatable, adapting to the requirements of the age.

There are twelve departments at the undergraduate level in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. These departments are: Turkish Language and Literature, History, Philosophy, Eastern Languages ​​and Literatures, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Mathematics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Western Languages ​​and Literatures, Psychology and Sociology. The faculty members are active and prolific in their research output in terms of peer-reviewed journal articles, books, book chapters and research grants.

As a result, we aim to transfer a respected faculty with high academic qualifications to future generations by working together and growing stronger towards the bright future of our country.
